Arctic documentary film -- Before the Road Splits

Before the Road Splits is a groundbreaking youth-led documentary produced by Linn Portfolio Education. Set in the remote Canadian Arctic community of Tuktoyaktuk, the film explores the cultural crossroads faced by Indigenous residents following the construction of the Inuvik–Tuktoyaktuk Highway.

2025 Alumni Sharing Session Recap

On January 6th, Linn Portfolio Education hosted a memorable event at our studio, featuring an outstanding alumni guest speaker.

Experimental Film: Thunderstorm Dance in Motion

Toronto, December 5, 2024– A student-led experimental film features a professional dancer performing in a thunderstorm-inspired studio. Using the Tilta Float support system, the cinematographer captured every dynamic movement with precision. Rain machines, synchronized lighting, and sound effects created a powerful and immersive visual experience. For more details, visit our project-behind-the-scene page.

Spreading Warmth and Creativity: Christmas Charity Sale Recap

On November 30th, Linn Portfolio Education held a Christmas Charity Sale that brought together art, compassion, and community. With the help of 14 passionate volunteers, the event showcased over 50 pieces of student artwork, celebrating their creativity while supporting a meaningful cause.

Documenting Tuktoyaktuk Project Launch & Information Session

On October 24th, we held the Documenting Tuktoyaktuk Project Launch & Information Session at the Granite Club in Toronto, introducing our Arctic documentary project and sharing key details with attendees. (10/24/2024)

October Film Production Behind-the-scenes

This is a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video for a student's portfolio, intended for applying to a film production program. The filming for this project lasted three days. (10/20/2024)

October Workshop

Our October monthly workshop featured a Halloween-themed icing cookie session, where students crafted their own spooky Halloween cookies with creative icing designs. (10/19/2024)

September Workshop

In our monthly workshop for September 2024, students explored silver clay. After a demonstration by the instructor, participants learned about the material's unique properties and crafted their own custom silver clay jewelry, creating personal designs by hand.

2024 Canadian Youth Community Summit (CYCS)

We were honored to participate in the 2024 Canadian Youth Community Summit (CYCS). Our representative served as one of the judges for the summit, and it was a pleasure to witness the growth and leadership of the participating youth. (03/03/2024)
